First World Cup Since Mexico '86

Final whistle! That’s it! We’ve done it!

What a qualifying campaign! After thirteen matches played, #CanMNT has thumped Jamaica 4-0 to qualify in style for our first World Cup since Mexico ‘86 thumping. It’s a BIG frigging’ deal.

Here’s why it matters

This is more than a feel-good story, it’s the catalyst to football being taken seriously as a sport in Canada. If you followed the qualifying campaign, you’ll see that the team showed consistency, determination, and desire. Elements that have been missing for a long time.

For many, this will be the first time ever seeing #CanMNT in a World Cup. Qualifying is only one step though. Let’s enjoy this moment, and make history when the tournament begins in November.
